Organized in 1978, the
Appalachian Blacksmiths Association is an affiliate of ABANA. We represent blacksmiths,
bladesmiths, and farriers in West Virginia and its surrounding states of Pennsylvania, Ohio, Maryland, Virginia, and Kentucky.
We publish a quarterly newsletter which keeps our membership up to date on events. The newsletter also
features many metalworking tips.

officers begins at 9:00 am. Hammer-In follows and lasts until 4:00 pm.

Rice's Landing, PA (near Waynesburg).
Join us for a day-long hammer-in, auction, and get-together at Young's Foundry. Demo's by ABA/PAABA's talented members.
Auction of member-donated ironwork. Iron in the hat. Visitors welcome.

again, and then on to Water St. to Young's Machine Shop--up the street
from park and boat ramp.. Look for anvil signs along the way.

Hammer-In at Arthurdale, WV
75th Annual
New Deal Day Festival. Activities begin at 10:00 am. Music, food, tours of
historic Arthurdale.
Blacksmiths can work from 9 am-5 pm in the restored
historical forge. (Lunch provided for blacksmiths.)
Auction of donated ironwork. Please
bring a workpiece or two for the auction which is planned for 5 pm. If you have portable forge
equipment, please bring it along and set up near blacksmith shop.
Blacksmiths can sell their work directly to the public. Contact
Arthurdale to arrange set up or if you need a table to display work.
